2011 – Patient receives professional and compassionate care from beginning to end of treatment at Mount Sinai

I had a parathyroid removed. Let me first say, you are excellent hands, from beginning to end!

The office associates were helpful, friendly and very reassuring. They spent as much time as I needed to get questions answered and arrangements made. I never felt rushed. There were tests that needed to be done before the surgery and all of the appointments were set up through the doctor’s office, reducing the number of calls I needed to make.

Dr. Inabnet was professional, calming, informative, and what he explained would happen, did. My surgery was an out patient procedure. The staff at the facility was also friendly, calming and reassuring. The facility itself was impressive. My husband was able to stay with me right to the door of the operating room. He was kept informed every step of the way.

After the surgery, I was monitored for several hours before I was released. I felt little discomfort and had no nausea. I spoke with the anesthesiologist the day of the procedure and explained my concerns. He was very reassuring and he too did what he said, I felt no nausea. My incision is about an inch long. It was made in a crease in my neck making it less noticeable and as Dr. Inabnet had explained within nine months it will be barely if at all noticeable.

I stayed in bed and did take painkillers for the first 2.5 days. I slept. Dr. Inabnet’s office called the next day to see how I was feeling, to listen to my voice and to see if I had any questions or concerns. Two days after the surgery I was up and about but did take it easy.
